🌟 Student Spotlight
We’re inviting new High School Ambassadors or IB graduates to write messages every week, so we can hear more student voices and IB experiences around the world. Today, we’ll hear from Anagha, recent IB Grad and IBlieve Mentor & Writer!
Hey everyone!!
Having recently graduated high school as an M21 grad, I wanted to share some interesting insights and reflections I have learned from IB.
I used to think that in IB, I should scale down my extracurriculars because academics would be the most important. Now I know that your IB years are also the most crucial in developing and progressing in your activities. They also help you stay balanced, happy and do well overall.
I used to think that IB equals to sleepless nights or all nighters. However, you can definitely get through the two years without pulling all nighters. Everyone is different, but if you organize your time well and start early, you will be fine!
I used to think that my peers would judge me for the IB classes I am taking. I felt this regarding Environmental Science - because it has a certain reputation for some individuals. However, now I know that it is important to focus on your own goals and how they align with you. ESS was an absolutely amazing class and I am looking to minor in Environment in college.
Good luck!
Anagha
👋 See you next week!
