🎓 How can you make friends while learning virtually at university? - THE
With most classes and social events occurring on Zoom, opportunities to meet new people can be limited. However, making friends isn’t impossible! IBlieve university students, Aaryaa, Bryan, and Linda, who have studied virtually from India, Indonesia, and Texas, share the ways they have made friends through their screens in an article with Times Higher Education!

🎙Community Spotlights
This week, we’re super excited to be spotlighting IBlieve Community members and friends who are launching inspiring projects and initiatives!
1. Conversations with Christelle - Nelly, HSA, IB in Mozambique
Nelly posts content on her IG, which is a Talk Show entitled 'Conversations with Christelle'. Conversations with Christelle is a talk show meant to talk about societal issues and dilemmas, such as "offensive comments about hair types" in order to bring awareness in a fun way.
2. GSL Event Project - Neefa, IBlieve community member, IB in Nigeria
Neefa and her friends co-founded an event project at the beginning of the year and they recently made enough money to provide bags and books for the less privileged kids in their local community.

🌟 Student Spotlight
As you may know, we’re changing things up by inviting new High School Ambassadors or IB graduates to write messages every week, so we can hear more student voices and IB experiences around the world. Today, we’ll hear from Deborah, our HSA and events lead!
Hi IB Students!
My name is Deborah, an IB Student in the U.S. In IBlieve, I stand as the Events Team Lead for all IB-related events. When I'm not typing up some email or drafting my French assignment, I'm either watching a good dystopian show or fantasizing about college.
As I am currently undertaking my IB Journey, I have experienced my own share of mistakes and accomplishments. For those of you enduring right now, I want to encourage you to keep going! The fruits/benefits of your labor will soon be apparent. Avoid thinking of your tasks as too big, because then you will push it off and wish you did it earlier. Trust me, I should know.
Get support through IBlieve, stay connected to others, have faith, and stay disciplined (it pays off)!
I love you all and I am wishing you the best,
Deborah
👋 Catch you next week!
Thanks so much for reading this week! We believe in you.
Sending virtual hugs,
Celine
High School Ambassador (HSA) from Canada🇨🇦
