Happy Friday IB students!
The start of September celebrates two months since the launch of IBlieve.🎉 So much has happened! We’ve made new friends around the world, learned about each other’s experiences adapting to online classes, and supported 36+ students with 1:1 mentoring thanks to our dedicated IBlieve grads. We hope this community has brought positivity during an otherwise challenging summer.
So, will IBlieve end?
Definitely… not! This is just the beginning of our IBlieve journey and we’ve been working super hard behind the scenes to expand our team and ensure we continue supporting students, creating helpful resources (videos and articles), and hosting virtual advice sessions throughout the school year. Fun fact: our team’s goal is to do more than we did this summer.
Thank you as always for sharing IBlieve with your friends, schools, and communities. It is what keeps our team of volunteer graduates and high school ambassadors going to create the best FREE resources for you. Help us spread the word!
Cheers,
Imogen & Katie❤️

Community Spotlights🤩
1. Concert for Gasa sa Gugma – Nicolle, IBlieve Mentor, Philippines 🇵🇭
Nicolle and her friends held an online concert - ‘A Simulated Concert: To Spread The Spirit of Hope and Healing’ - to raise funds for a home for the elderly and dying destitute, Gasa sa Gugma. Nicolle says:
“It's a tough time for a lot of people right now. As the world contends with the pandemic and its ramifications, a group of Cebuano students are taking matters into their own hands and have organized a concert for virtual audiences.”
If you can, help out and donate to the cause - and watch the concert on Nicolle’s YouTube channel.
2. TeenCOV19 – Elena, IBlieve Tutor & Writer, Indonesia 🇮🇩
Elena is the founder and head of her school’s branch of TeenCOV19, a student organisation founded by a group of students passionate about giving back to the community. Tiffany, an Editor at IBlieve, is also part of her team!
The organisation makes and distributes face shields, approved by medical professionals, using foam, plastic sheets, elastic rolls, and double tape. They also collect protective medical gear like hazmat suits using donations, and direct these supplies to medial facilities across Indonesia. Elena liaises with reps of medical centres and public health offices, prioritising facilities which are underfunded, undersupplied, and dealing with a high number of cases. Her team has produced around 2,000 face shields and distributed them throughout Java. TeenCOV19 has distributed around 67,000+ face shields to all over Indonesia!
