Happy September!
We took a short pause over the past few weeks as everyone returned to in-person school, but we’re now back and ready to support all 2000+ subscribers! Whether you’re back in the classroom or not, a big part of the IB is the community you’re doing it with. This week, we wanted to remind you to make sure you’re encouraging the people around you. Ensure some conversations are IB-free, and be mindful about keeping everything in perspective. Especially IBY2 students - don’t terrify your Y1 friends! IBlieve’s ethos is to enjoy the process: learning for the sake of it and making friends along the way. If you have schoolmates who’d appreciate IB positivity and resources in their inbox, make sure to share the love and send them the IBlieve Weekly link below.🤩

🌟 Student Spotlight
We’re inviting new High School Ambassadors or IB graduates to write messages every week, so we can hear more student voices and IB experiences around the world. Today, we’ll hear from Joseph, N2020 grad from Singapore and IBlieve Internal Outreach Lead!
Hey everyone, I’m Joseph, a N20 grad from Singapore. As most of you have begun a new academic year, I thought I might share a bit about my personal experience in the IB.
At the start of my IB journey, I told myself I wanted to be super organised and always be on the ball for all my classes. However, as the work piled up, it was almost impossible to do so and I was often stressed over not being able to finish all the work I had set out to do. Going into DP2, I came to accept that I don’t work too well with tight schedules and often preferred to give myself a much more flexibility to do things as and when I felt like it. Even during the pandemic, I was still able to keep up with most of my work and felt a lot better about my mental health state.
Of course, this method might not work for everyone but do know that the IB is so much more than just about learning academic content. For me, it was a journey in learning more about myself and how I work. This week, do spend some time thinking about 1 thing you hope to improve on/learn about yourself this coming year. Keep working at it and you will see how much growth you have made from the IB next year!
Don’t give up!
~ Joseph
👋 See you next week!
