How did IBlieve's adventure start? Read our feature on the IBO blog!✨
Monday, February 15th, 2021
Hey everyone!
This was a big week for IBlieve! We were featured on the International Baccalaureate blog and YouTube channel, held an event with Times Higher Education, and officially welcomed about 30 new High School Ambassadors onto our team. And, of course, we posted lots of advice and resources on our Blog and our Instagram.
One great thing about this has been collaborating with the whole community of people online supporting IB students! Check out some examples in our Community Spotlight.
Cheers,
Imogen and Katie❤️

🎙Community Spotlights
This week, we’re super excited to be spotlighting IBlieve Community members and friends who are launching inspiring projects and initiatives!
1. IB with us 2022 - Daria, HSA, IB in Cyprus
Recently, due to online learning, Daria and her friend have started their CAS project called IB With Us ‘22 where they want to provide the IB community with fun content about advice, tips, recipes, CAS activities/extracurriculars, as well as trends, resources, lockdown activities, and more!
2. IB Like Cole
Cole got a 40 for IB, and now shares IB resources and tips! He also does crash courses on subjects live on his Instagram. He posts YouTube videos covering all IB topics, like past papers, the most important time in the IB, and much more!
3. We Question It - Diya, IBlieve Community member, IB in India
Diya has been working on this personal project since the beginning of senior year. Her project focuses on talking about the different stereotypes people are subjected to based on their race, gender, sexuality, economic background, academic credentials, etc. If any of you would be interested in sharing your experience regarding this, please fill out this form. It would be of great help!
📲Stay updated with IBlieve!
Next week we’ll have Bryan, for our grad takeover! He studied the IB in Singapore, graduated in November 2019, received a 45, and now attends Stanford University. Ask him anything! The Q&A sticker will be up on our Instagram on Friday, 19th February, so stay tuned!

🌟 Student Spotlight:
As you may know, we’re changing things up by inviting new High School Ambassadors (HSAs) or IB graduates to write messages every week, so we can hear more student voices and IB experiences around the world. Today, we’ll start with a Student Spotlight on Ben, our outreach lead!
Hey IBlievers!
I’m Ben, a gapper (gap year student) from Spain and IBlieve’s Outreach Lead. Right from the get-go, my favorite activities have always revolved around onboarding new cohorts of grads and connecting these amazing mentors to our mentees! But had you asked me in middle school if I could envision myself hopping onto a handful of virtual meetings every single week by 2021, my answer would have been a flat-out no.
Before 9th grade, I couldn't wrap my head around public speaking. I rarely spoke up. And yet now, halfway through my sabbatical, I know that we can all sharpen our presentation skills! In times of back-to-back Zoom calls, simply unmute yourself and turn your camera on, as bumpy as the initial journey may be. Slow Wi-Fi networks are universal, so stop banking on them to justify fewer contributions…
If there's one thing that I can safely predict about this roller coaster ride, it's that you'll make countless mistakes along the way. But trust me. Every tiny improvement will bring you one step closer to pressing the ‘’PUSH-TO-TALK’’ button. Whenever you’re dithering, just remember my tip!
I’m rooting for you!
Ben
👋 Catch you next week!
Thanks so much for reading this week! We believe in you.
Sending virtual hugs,
Celine
