Hello everyone!
This week, we’re excited to introduce a new section to our newsletter called IBlieve Spotlights!✨ This will be dedicated to showcasing cool projects by IB students and grads to celebrate the creativity in our IBlieve community. (Maybe, it’ll inspire you for CAS too.)
Lots of IB love❤️
Imogen & Katie
This week’s highlights🚀
We’ve had a lovely time meeting our pilot students, tutors, and mentors over video calls! WiFi problems and time zone differences didn’t deter everyone from getting to know each other. Our IBlieve community has felt so real as we’ve put faces to names and heard everyone’s unique experiences from around the world. Special shoutout to Senna who (voluntarily) joined us at 4am from Jamaica!!
If you’d like to join our team, we’re recruiting for Editors! You’ll gain journalistic experience, collaborate in teams, and grow as a leader, while immersing yourself in digital content creation. This position is open to current Writers who have already contributed to the blog. If you’re interested, message us on Slack (invites have already been sent) and tell us why you’d be a great fit by July 28!
Once again, thank you for sharing IBlieve with your friends, school, and social media. It is what keeps our team of volunteer graduates going to create the best FREE resource for you. Please continue helping us spread the word!🌏

IBlieve Spotlights🤩
We want to introduce you to some of the amazing projects our IBlieve members have created. Some are recent lockdown creations, others have been longer in the making. All are very impressive and you should definitely check them out!
1. Dissecting Disney Podcast – Yasmin, May 2020
Yasmin and her friend Elena critically evaluate the movies they loved as children – from questioning plot-holes and characters' logic to examining the social impact and implications of the movies. Each episode will be focused on a particular issue in a Disney movie. Topics include discussions of beauty, representation, social criticism and more!

2. The Lilac Blog – Mia, May 2021
Mia founded The Lilac Blog with her friend Tiana. Lilac is a tightly-knit community of writers, poets, and artists who use their work to empower youth and create profound, societal change. As a Youth Blog, they provide a platform for Generation Z to publish their work and a community that supports them every step of the way: from the writing process to the editing, publishing, and marketing! For non-members, The Lilac Blog brings fresh insight from GenZ and increases awareness around important global issues in STEM, Humanities, and Life that need to be discussed. They started in April 2020, and have since attracted over 100 members from over 25 countries.

What’s Next?💫
We’re eagerly watching as our first grad + student mentorships take off! We will soon be expanding this to more of you, so please be patient and remember we seek to prioritize students who have been affected by the pandemic the most. If you believe this is you, please email us at iblieve.contact@gmail.com.
In the meantime, we’ll be starting group video sessions on popular topics such as ToK, EE, and mental health so all students can benefit from the wisdom of our grads! We recently asked you the most common myths about IB, so keep an eye out for our answers and the tea on our IG.🍵

IBlieve is an open, positive community for IB students by IB students. We provide free resources, tips, and tutoring because we believe you can succeed too!
I already completed half of my first IBDP school year (virtually), and will be finishing this December.
My new IB batch's classes start on September 8th, virtually.
